"Wycombe Wildlife Group undertakes
site management tasks for Chepping Wycombe Parish Council in the
Cock Lane Cemetery and in the adjoining section of Gomm Wood. This
photograph shows on-going work being undertaken by Wycombe Wildlife
Group with the help of Earthworks Conservation Volunteers and other
volunteers to re-open a viewpoint over Gomm Wood and encourage the
return of chalk grassland flora. Wycombe Wildlife Group also undertakes
site management tasks on Wycombe Disrict Council's Chairborough
Local Nature Reserve in High Wycombe and on the Sheepridge Nature
Reserve next to the Little
Marlow Cemetery at Fern near Bourne End.
As part of the Revive the Wye Project, run
by a partnership of organisations, including Wycombe Wildlife Group,
members of our Group undertake various tasks along the River Wye,
including the removal of the invasive alien plant Indian Balsam,
and removal of excessive vegetation and rubbish."
