03/06/10	One cuckoo heard and seen this morning Tylers Green; one cuckoo heard Beacon Hill p.m. One hornet seen in garden at Tylers Green and one also at Beacon Hill today. Roy noted 26 species birds this morning at Beacon Hill in 3 + 1/2 hour including 5 buzzards, 4 nuthatches and pair bullfinch. Our bluetit family finally left the nestbox this morning. Roy & Carole

26/06/10	Whitethroats - 3 successful broods noted around Puttenham Farm, Penn. 5 small tortoisehell butterflies also seen at Puttenham Farm - one pair involved in wonderful courtship display. Spotted flycatchers feeding recently fledged youngsters near Hughenden Church. Many speckled woods and my first large skipper of the year - Hughenden Manor woods.
